HISTORY

The company’s strategy expertise began taking shape in the 1990s in the South African corporate arena. This was deliberately crafted over 3 decades across a range of industries including Banking and Finance, National and Local Government, Mining, Marketing & Advertising, Television, as well as in both the Local and National public sectors in the likes of Water and Sanitation.

A stellar reputation has been established in many business areas including:

  • Corporate Turnaround
  • Corporate Strategy
  • Business Rescue, Workouts
  • Change and Risk Management.

SPIH have carried out benchmark studies in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. Successful delivery and implementation of key findings have been a cornerstone of our excellence in international best practise for our global clients. These services extended across Francophone and Anglophone with global clients in various parts of Africa [Cote D’Voire, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Cameroun, Botswana, Mozambique], China, India, USA, Britain, France, Italy, Mauritius and Portugal.

In recent years this core strategy consulting expertise expanded to include NGO work, specifically for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in the WASH sector between Asia and Africa as well as microlending projects with other global NGOs working across Africa, India, Asia and South America.

Whilst working with NGO’s the company had the opportunity to explore certain Research and Development projects. This was met with tremendous success and more projects have been included in that space such as breaking technology on water saving devices in the domestic household space and waste water and starch water wash up in the industrial space.

The subsequent commercialisation opportunities then caused the company to broaden its horizons once again and the SPIH Import and Export division was established to enable SPIH clients [private, Government and NGOs] to manage global supply chain for off the shelf, customised as well as sourcing new products within an established and trusted relationship that they had developed with SPIH. This then rapidly grew to offer a full end-to-end service to the wholesale and general public in international imports and exports.

Working within this network of corporate and private consulting and NGOs, SPIH has raised finance for a few select client commercial ventures. Specifically, for property development in the growing tourist markets of Mauritius, Seychelles and Botswana. SPIH facilitated the successful raising of structured finance solutions for their clients.
